I haven't seen my family since Christmas so I decided make the trek back home to Wisconsin for the weekend. I was exhausted from working and driving back Friday so I just stayed in and hung out with my sister and mom. My mom got a new cat and apparently he gets to sit at the table and eat scraps from my sister.
Saturday I got together with some girlfriends to go see a band play at a towny bar.
Never got a picture of the band but they were great and I danced the night away!
When I woke up Sunday morning I was ready to come back to Minneapolis but looked outside and checked my doppler to realize it would be a HORRIBLE drive back. I would have had to drive 20 mph and after my accident back in December from hitting black ice, I'm much more hesitant to drive in bad conditions than I once was.
Since I was stranded in my hometown I met up with some friends to get bloodies Sunday afternoon. It was only a mile away but that drive alone was enough to prove I made the right decision not to drive back.
Whether you stayed inside or went out in this snowstorm, hope you had a fun AND safe weekend!
