Thank You Target For Not Photoshopping Your Swimwear Ad

As if we didn’t love shopping at Target already, their new swimsuit ads have made us even bigger fans. The retailer’s latest swimwear campaign has arrived and it’s big - 1, 700 pieces - and the best part is you won’t find any airbrushing or reshaping of the models because like last year’s campaign, nothing has been Photoshopped.

Target is showing women’s bodies as they really look and we’re all here for it. Bathing suit shopping is bad enough, it doesn’t help to see perfect models in the ads and they get that. "It’s our goal to take the stress out of swimsuit season and bring joy back to the beach by providing something for every Target guest," the company explains in a press release.

Last year Target first went for a Photoshop-free swimwear campaign and it was so refreshing. And this year, the message that it’s okay to embrace the beauty of women’s bodies as they are is back. Now we just need more retailers to follow Target’s body positive lead and we’ll really be getting somewhere.
