Age When Girls First Feel Ashamed of Their Bodies Is Shocking

This is really shocking, at least to me.  I raised two girls and I don't remember either of them being concerned with what their bodies looked like at all.  Maybe it was because they are now 26 and 35 and times were different then.  Maybe because we never obsessed over what our own bodies looked like. Or maybe because we taught them to be proud of themselves for healthier things.  I don't know.  Or maybe I'm just clueless and missed it.
