Country Star Jake Owen's First Hand Account of Las Vegas Shooting

As the country and those around the world are thinking of the 50+ people left dead and over 500 injured following the horrific attack at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival in Las Vegas after a gunman opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel, we are learning more about the terrifying scene during those moments.

Country star Jake Owen, who performed at the festival that night, spoke to Bobby Bones just hours after the shooting took place, and describes the scary scene that unfolded.

Jake, who went to watch Jason Aldean perform -- which was when the shooting occurred -- continuously described the moment the shooting happened as "wild" and recalled people running out to the parking lot.

"When I went on stage to watch Jason [Aldean] is when this all happened and went down, and we thought it was the pyrotechnics or something going off, and the next thing you know, you can hear it ringing off the top of the roof. There was people freaking out, everyone started fleeing every which way, and at that point, when you got out in the parking lot area, where we were running to ... I mean there [were] people bleeding and laying in the streets, it was literally like a bad movie. Like something that you would dream, and think you were going to wake up at any point, and I think we're all still trying to figure out this is real life, this is weird."
