Teachers Give Student With ADHD Award For 'Most Likely To Not Pay Attention'

Two middle school teachers in Conyers, Georgia, are out of a job after they gave an eighth grade student with ADHD a 'Most Likely To Not Pay Attention' award.

Rockdale County Public Schools chief of strategy and innovation released the following statement:

“Earlier this week, we learned about an awards ceremony held during spirit week at Memorial Middle School that had insensitive award categories. RCPS will neither condone nor tolerate any activities or insensitive behavior that may cause embarrassment or humiliation to our children.”

It's not clear whether the teachers were fired or strongly encouraged to resign.
