Ellen DeGeneres set the record for most re-tweeted tweet back in March 2014 when she rounded up nearly a dozen A-list celebrities at the Oscars to pose for one ridiculously good-looking selfie. The tweet earned more than 3.43 million re-tweets.
That all changed when Carter Wilkinson, some kid who loves him some chicken nuggets, tweeted fast food chain Wendy's back in April asking how many re-tweets it would take to score a free year-supply of chicken nuggets. The tweet has since been re-tweeted more than 3.48 million times, surpassing DeGeneres' Oscars selfie.
