Raven's Trip To Ft. Lauderdale For Tortuga Music Festival [PHOTOS]

I flew to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, over the weekend (4/8-4/9) to attend Tortuga Music Festival, an annual country music festival featuring some of the biggest names in country, rock and roots music. I'm not a fan of country music, but I can get behind day drinking on the beach. Read details and scroll through photos from my trip below.

Saturday, April 11

I took a red eye to Fort Lauderdale at 12:20 Saturday morning. My best friend, Alyssa, picked me up from the airport around 4:45 a.m. We went home and crashed. When we woke up around 9:45 a.m., we headed to a braid bar with Alyssa's roommates, Naomi and Marissa. Afterward, Alyssa and her roommates hosted brunch (complete with bottomless mimosas and Bloody Mary's) before we left for the festival around 2:30 p.m. After Nelly's set, we left to grab dinner at Capital Grille in downtown Miami. We spent the rest of the night drinking at a bar named Ricky's.

Sunday, April 12

We went to a polo match at The International Polo Club Palm Beach in Wellington, Florida. It's one of the largest polo clubs in the world, and it's teeming with hundreds of ritzy, rich people. We didn't fit in, which made the experience even more fun.
