Netflix, which has been working on a Magic School Bus remake since 2014, announced Wednesday (2/8) actress and comedian Kate McKinnon will voice Ms. Frizzle in the revival series officially titled Magic School Bus Rides Again. The role was previously voiced by Lily Tomlin.
Twenty-six episodes of the show, produced by Scholastic Media, were slated to start streaming on the service in 2016. No word yet when the series will be available to stream.
