If Your Kids Are Doing The 'Salt And Ice Challenge,' Make Them Stop [PHOTO]

Children are giving themselves second-degree burns thanks to the "salt and ice challenge," which has left some kids in the hospital.

The trend requires challengers to rub salt and ice on the skin to see who can withstand the pain the longest. The danger is that the salt can drop the temperature of the ice to as low as 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit, which can cause frostbite.

Pop Sugar reports kids are putting images on their social media accounts to document their participation in the challenge.
