Friday was my birthday so I had a celebration! Me and my friends hit up Sociable Ciderwerks dressed up as if we were characters in the musical A Year With Frog & Toad because WHY NOT. I had 12 friends show and every one of them dressed up!
They were doing Tarot at the brewery, and Katie Capp paid to have me get mine done. It's the first time in like 12 years I've gotten my tarot read! Most of it was good, a lot of trust thyself and believe, but then also "unforeseen destruction."
After the brewery, we headed to Strike Theater to see The Bearded Company, who sang to me for my birthday and gave me the book that inspired their improv show that night. It was great to be able to see my fave improv group on my birthday with all my friends!
Saturday morning I volunteer gardened for the last time this summer and helped cut down a bunch of buckthorn. Then I went to get some popup fair food with my mom, sister, and niece. On the way home, I found I had a nail in my tire. Yayyyyy. Spent the rest of the night trying to find somewhere open because I had plans to go to a bonfire. Those plans did not happen. Instead I watched Past Lives at home. I loved it.
Had to get up early on Sunday to bring my car in to get the tire fixed, so I was 30 min late to work at the Renfest. Worked in a different location, The Narrows, and managed to make enough tips to pay for my tire repair! The Narrows is where we dip all the chocolate strawberries and keep the chocolate inventory refrigerated. I worked with Annie, one of my favorite youths. Only one more week of Renaissance Festival!
