Dave's Weekend in Five Photos: The Last Time This Will Happen

Kind of an odd weekend. I didn't do anything worth mentioning on Friday night, but the rest of the weekend was pretty good. Here's a look at my weekend in five pictures.

Saturday, I got to emcee the Scouts Pinewood Derby Championships at Ridgedale Mall. It was a ton of fun and I got to meet some great people. Plus, it was super cool to see girls' cars in the Pinewood Derby!

It's not riding season just yet, but I'm really ready to get out there! I fired up my Indian this weekend just to make sure it still starts. I'm planning on getting out Tuesday, even if it's just to ride around the neighborhood! It's time!!!

This was such a great movie. I watched it Saturday night and afterward, I had to get on Wikipedia to find out more about the characters, cuz it's based on a true story. Sadly, the movie plays kind of loose with the facts, but it's such a sweet movie in so many ways, even if it's not totally true. Highly recommended.

A Scout in Carson's troop made Eagle Scout and Sunday we went to the ceremony, or Court of Honor for him. Sadly, this is Carson's last event as a Boy Scout cuz he turns 18 two weeks from now. I've been so proud of him and so happy for all the times Scouting has let us spend amazing and memorable times together.

When I got home from the ceremony, I took off my shirt for what might be the last time. Each patch represents something special or a great memory with Scouting so of course, that was sad too. But to be honest, I think I'm going to be one of those dads who stays in Scouting after their kid has turned 18.

I hope you had a good weekend! Thanks for looking at my pictures!

-Dave
