Is "Fat, But Fit" an Actual Thing or Totally Made Up?

A new study finds that those who are on the chunky side have increased risk of coronary heart disease. Yes...even if you're otherwise considered healthy. This totally debunks the common theory that someone can be "fat, but fit." Actually, no.

Lead author of the study Dr. Camille Lassale notes, "Our findings suggest that if a patient is overweight...even if their blood pressure, sugar and cholesterol appear within the normal range, excess weight is still a risk factor."

So what should you do if you thought you were safe but are carrying around the extra pounds? Doctors say, work your hardest to get to a healthy weight. According to studies, being overweight or obese was associated with a more than 25% higher risk of developing coronary heart disease.
